Cloudy with a chance of meatballs...

I haven't seen the movie, but this seems like a good title for our day, which included hives (and with that, a brief chicken pox scare), a trip to the doctor, no nap, having blood drawn, and finally...some meatballs thanks to Grandma! What a day, what a day...

Happy Accidents

I'm sure this is the epitome of amateur, especially because it was no where near intentional, but I love this photo. It instantly makes me think of my own dad and the special dad/daughter memories from my childhood...

Barnes Family

Barns family photos are up here!
Mr. and Mrs. B and their adorable children met up with me at Kathryn Albertson Park on a beautiful Sunday evening in October. We had a lot of fun and took a bajillion-and-one photos until the sun went down and we were forced to stop!

If you are looking for a good incentive plan to get your kids to cooperate for your family holiday photos, you may try their tactic - it was pretty successful:

Thank you Lindsay and family!!

1st Birthday!

Anderson was sick all throughout his birthday weekend, so cake pictures and party are rescheduled to next weekend. BUT...we still had a great day and even opened some presents. Here is Anderson and dad, reading a new book from Great-Uncle Don and Aunt Virginia.

tired boy (and mom)

This week, Anderson took his second ever trip to Montana to meet his great-grandparents. He hit it off with them immediately, playing tickle games with my grandpa and patty cake with my grandma. I will forever remember the smiles on all three of their faces!

More pictures later. For now, we sleep!

Election Day & Shoes

I dropped Anderson off this morning at the babysitter - he looks like such a big boy today in his army pants and shoes! I just love him. :-)

Aunt Chelsey is #1!

As most of you know, my sister-in-law is a contestant on this season of America's Next Top Model. We get together each Wednesday to watch. This week Chelsey won her first challenge on the show. Not to be outdone, Anderson started walking all over the place! Such an exciting night in Idaho.

Brad's Wedding

Brad and I were co-workers...actually, we made up the team formerly known as JAD. He surprised us all when he announced that he was getting married, but as soon as I met Janel it made total sense! She has that something about her that gives you no choice but to like her instantly. They each have two kids, and the ceremony was a beautiful, intimate blending of their families.

This is Brad's daughter Teegan. All of the kids got necklaces with their initials during a very sweet part of the ceremony.
All of the kids with Brad's dad, who served as the officiant for the ceremony.

The wedding attendees - all 16!

Pumpkins, Pumpkins, Pumpkins!

Here is my little pumpkin in the pumpkin patch. I took him out there to get photos for his 1st birthday invitation. It was really dusty, but a beautiful night complete with a full moon.

fishing trip 10-2-10

Isaiah and I went to the Owyhee today, just the two of us. I took a bajillion pictures on my NIKON but I also snuck in a few on my Retro Camera app of Isaiah caught in the throws of fly fishing.

Baltimore!

Anderson's first travel day can only be called a success...especially considering he woke up at 4am MT because he wasn't feeling very good. Almost 20 hours later, several naps, a bath and some helpful medicine he is sound asleep in his hotel pack-and-play with the Cowboys/Redskins game on in the background.

Three highlights of the day: Anderson waving bye-bye to all of the other passengers as they were leaving our first plane, a sweet older gentleman that said, smiling as we walked by in the airport, "Just looking at him makes you feel good!", and our first vacation dinner as a family right on Baltimore's Inner Harbor. (or as my 9th grade Spanish teacher called it, the "hinner arbor.") :)

Sass-a-FRAS!

This little girl gave me a run for my money last weekend. She was NOT in the mood for pictures, and it was cold and windy outside to boot.

But, put a side-pony tail in her hair, a frilly skirt, and let her pose on the staircase inside and look out! You never know what you'll get. :-)

have baby, will travel

we leave soon to fly across the country for a week for a wedding. anxiety level? high! luggage? huge! here goes nothing...!

Anderson in Freak Alley

Anderson went on the graffiti shoot too, and I managed to get one shot of him before he tried crawling all over the filthy alley. But it was worth it!

Freak Alley

It was Olivia's 13th birthday, and she wanted photos taken in Freak Alley, a little open air art gallery in downtown Boise. I have lived here for 8 years and never heard of it - and I work downtown! Here are some of my favorites.

You can view the rest of the shoot here!
